Bro Madhusudhan Bojja installed as Worshipful Master of Lodge Keys 297. SC meeting is at 7.00 pm, at Goshamahal on wednesday, 10th March 2010, hosted by W.Bro. Indra Prasad.

Freemasonry is world wide  secular, fraternal organization based on the principles of Fatherhood of God and brotherhood of men. It is the brotherhood of men of every country, religion and opinion joined in a common effort to make themselves better people, to ease sufferings of others and to make this earth a better place to live.

Masonry may mean many things to many people. In earlier days, in England, it was defined as a system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols. It is a course of moral instruction using both allegories and symbols to teach its lessons. In masonry, the old tools and ways of  the craftsmen are used to help portray the moral truths.

One may consider freemasonry to be an organized society of men, symbolically applying the principle of operative masonry to the art of character building.

Masonic organizations throughout the world are engaged in many philanthropic and charitable projects. Of all the cardinal virtues, most valued in masonry is selfless giving. Giving freely of yourself and asking nothing in return. The satisfaction derived from charitable endeavors can not be measured in ordinary terms.

Freemasonry is not a secret organization.

It is not a Religion.

It is not a Political organization.

It is not a Social Club. Nevertheless, it provides an avenue to socialize among its members who come from all walks of life. The family members of brethren are also involved on such occasions.

There is no secret about its aims and principles.

Freemasonry is not a secret organization.

Lodge buildings are clearly marked and listed in the phone books. Members frequently wear pins identifying them as masons. Many lodges and Grand lodges have their web sites on internet. However, masonry values confidentiality and like many other organizations it regards some of its internal affairs as private matters for its members and many of its meetings are not open to public.

But it emphasises teaching respect for and tolerance towards all religions.

Freemasonry reminds one to remain loyal to the laws of land which is the place of their residence.

Motto of Freemasonry is Brotherly love, Relief and Truth. It is committed to extend hand of friendship and provide relief to those in distress. Masonry wants to unite men for the purpose of universal brotherhood, not as an organized religion.
